The Riley walk goal is a great dual purpose goal like Grace Boyle mentioned.

My goals lately are very simple. Get through today then tomorrow etc. without mentally imploding. This has been brought on by trying to heap more on my plate while trying to keep what is already there from falling off.

To that end there will be no more goals until the last batch are finished or scrapped as being unrealistic.

Happy Thoughta & Best Wishes to you Susan from WI!

Good goals!

I like the small things, as well. Taking a 20 minute walk with Riley sounds nice. You can get outside, while you're also exercising and spending time with the dog. Good luck. Goals always scare me, but in the end, they're not as daunting as they may seem.

You sound like me: I can think outside the box, but I need a box first. I also think it's fabulous that your goals are pretty diverse. Variety can lead towards accomplishment.

Good luck!

Charles: Actually, I'm absolutely not a gym person, though I'm really making an effort to be. We'll see what this month brings. Best of luck to you as well!

Elisa: Definitely interested! This is actually a long term goal that I'd like to start implementing; would be interested in starting an online writing group, as Monica (below) expressed interest as well. Monica: I'd started a writing group in my community but never got that translated online. Would love to work on that again. If either of you have ideas, let's talk and see what we can come up with!

Dani: Those are admirable goals! The book alone, I know, must take discipline and time...Word by word and chapter by chapter, right? And I love that sticking to your commandments is a goal as well -- sometimes we forget how easy it is to let that slip. Good luck, and thanks for sharing!

Dominique: It definitely is the little things! My dog brings me such joy, but I sometimes, admittedly, forget that. We can learn a lot from little four-legged friends -- what it means to enjoy life moment by moment. Now excuse me while I run and hug Riley... :)

Kris: I love my cheering squad and wouldn't know where I'd be without it. ;) Thanks!

Rebecca: Ambitious, they certainly are! And I'm beginning to see how ambitious as I pile on the work and agree to new commitments. Hopefully, having these goals written out will help me prioritize and stay focused as I do my best to reach them. Thanks for getting this started!

Great goals, Susan. Ambitious, but also measurable and a little fun thrown in! With a heavy focus on writing, I'm sure it will be productive, especially in the Fall, which is like another New Year to me... good luck! :)
