I hate to admit, but this is the first time I’ve read your blog. I read your post about the journey to France, and it made me seem like I was there. My heart was beating and my chest was tight, and I almost teared up. I am SO proud of you for making it and for being there! Your strength inspires me, and I know this will be the experience of a lifetime for you. Relax, network, make memories!

Chrissy — Thanks for reading! I’m glad that I can share my experiences with you. Although, I think I’m going to place the blame on Pete for this one! I told him of my fears prior to leaving and he offered comfort in his convoluted way, saying that things can and usually do go wrong. Prepare him — he’ll get an earful when I get back But thanks for coming out to dinner before I left, that calmed my nerves as you provided some much needed friendship. Have fun on your own trip! I am so proud of you. Look at everything you’ve done on your own so far. Man, I know that right after that laptop thing, I would have sat down, cried for a good 45 minutes, and then booked the next flight home. You didn’t, because you are an incredibly strong woman, and I know you’re going to have the time of your life.

Now, go eat some bread (the best in the world!) and drink some wine and keep these updates coming!

Sarah – After feeling so miserable, to come here and see how proud you are of me meant the world. As I wrote in a later post, your words have helped in giving me the strength I need and realizing that, yes, I actually have done so much already — so much more than I ever thought was possible.
